Internals are a modified protoboard build of the tinyEMF firmware/hardware. There is an additional socket wired to accept potentiometer input, primarily to eventually allow brightness adjustment of the display by modulating OE of the 595 shift register.

I rebuilt these and installed them in my 1972 MGB Roadster. These are actually from the late sixties, chosen because of their simpler design; they have regular butterfly valve plates (none of the spring-loaded smog valves that decrease throttle response and lessen intake flow volume) and do not have the temperature-compensated jets and needles.
